Source: Statistics Canada
Release: Natural Gas Liquids Statistics
Units: Thousand cubic metres, Supply from natural gas processing plants, Canada
Frequency: Monthly
Notes: Ethane supply from Canadian natural gas processing plants in thousand cubic metres per month, from Statistics Canada, with history back to 1989. Ethane is the main feedstock for Alberta's petrochemical industry; when gas prices are low, producers can leave ethane in the gas stream instead of extracting it, so this series also reflects processing economics. Published monthly, about three months behind the reference month.
